Ingredients
- 4 apples, peeled, cored and thinly sliced
- 75g sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 2 tablespoons water
- 45g porridge oats
- 30g plain flour
- 50g SKIPPY® Smooth Peanut Butter
- 40g butter
- 510g dairy vanilla ice cream
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 220°C. Coat a 20-cm square tray bake tin with oil spray.
- In the tin, toss together the apples, 30g sugar and the cinnamon; sprinkle with water.
- In a medium bowl, combine the oats, flour and the remaining 45g sugar. Cut in the peanut butter and butter with a pastry blender or two knives until the mixture is the size of small peas. Sprinkle the crumbs evenly over the apples; cover with aluminium foil.
- Bake for about 20 minutes until crisp. Remove the foil; bake uncovered for a further 20 minutes or until the apples are tender and the topping is crisp and golden. Serve warm or at room temperature, topped with ice cream.
